what is going on lately11:14 AM
I thought it was time to get a little more personal over here. At some point you noticed that I moved to England and started a new job, however I never wrote much about what I am doing and how is it going.
Unfortunately, as many young people in my country at the moment, I finished my degree and I couldn't get any paid job in my area. I tried and I tried but I only could find unpaid internships or really bad paid part time jobs. at some point I started doubting about everything. Do I really want to do work in this? I'm I good at it? should I give up? Maybe I should study something else ... but what? I started feeling really lost. So I decided take a break, to breath and think about my life. At the beginning I wanted to do a volunteer work around the world, some kind of sabbatical year. But I had no money to afford that.
One day I saw a offer to work as a Flight Attendant for a Airline and I thought, why not? It's an easy job, I can earn some money and pay my own bills and do some travels around Europe. I applied and I got the job.
They sent me to a base in England, near London, and here I am.
It was harder than I expected to settle down in England and in the job in the first months. Get used to my roster was not easy (many days I have to wake up at 3 am to go to the airport) and most of the days I'm doing 4 flights per day. I was exhausted all the time with this new routine and I barely could find time to eat proper meals or have a goodnight sleep.
And the worst thing for me - if before I had too much time to think about what I wanted to do with my career, now I have no time at all. I can't find time and/or inspiration to take pictures anymore, I'm exhausted all the time. I spend months without touching my camera or stimulating my creativity.
Besides all of that It was been an positive adventure. I grew a lot in this past months, I gained more experience, I met really good friends and I managed to do some travels.
A new year is coming, and maybe now is time to start thinking about my next adventure! :)
